Water and Ice

02/19/2013

There has been a lot of water under the bridge since the last blogging.  Halloween was spooky.  Thanksgiving was bountiful.  Christmas was a whole bunch of folks that I love.  New Years, lots going on, but I was sick.  My family asked me if I heard the midnight  ringing of the old school bell?  No, I had taken NyQuil and slept blissfully.  January, I drove my folks southwest for the winter.  Saw some beautiful sunsets there, only one sunrise.  Valentines was sweet.  Presidents Day has come and gone.  I am still here.  February is my favorite month of the year.  I think that is so because it is pivotal for the seasons.  You know when you survive February that spring will come soon.  I saw the first robin of the year Sunday morning.  His puffed out his red breast  at me from the top of the tree in the backyard.  Tomorrow and Thursday, they are forcasting snow and ice for us.  Possibly 10 inches.  Poor old robin's going to freeze his beak off.

Color rocks my world.  God did a wonderful thing by making color and giving us eyes to see it with.  I've been dying up some springtime colors of Knittybits sock yarn and combed top.  I  look forward to more color and  fiber this spring.
